چکیده
Biofuel production has increased significantly in several countries recent decades. Different evaluation techniques are required for their characterization. The study measures the properties of obtained biodiesel and a commercial diesel sample, using open circuit potential, linear scanning voltammetry electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. transesterification reaction between sunflower oil methanol was carried out with ultrasound as energy source. determination triglyceride conversion to is performed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), obtaining up 99.79% yield 93.40% at temperature 50 ∘C 60 min methanol/oil molar ratio 6:1. potassium hydroxide catalyst concentration 1.0 g catalyst/100 oil. samples generally showed potential (OCP) values less than 790 mV stabilization time 120 s, Linear sweep voltammograms (LSV) show no peaks current densities on order NanoAmpere, Electrochemical spectroscopy (EIS) capacitive system impedances MΩ cm2 low frequency; This information could help characterize biofuels other similar materials.

Comparison study of biodiesel fuel production from sunflower oil using by ultrasound and heat
In this research, a comparison of biodiesel produced by ultrasound and heat methods was investigated. Methanol was used as the alcohol with molarity 3, 6 and 9 and KOH 0.5, 1 and 1.5 wt.% As a catalyst. In ultrasound technique, five vibrating pulse levels and three time levels were used. The results indicate that biodiesel produced by ultrasound in some properties includes a flash point of abou...
متن کاملPreparation and Characterization of Biodiesel Produced from Recycled Canola Oil
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the feasibility of using recycled canola oil as raw material to produce ASTM standard biodiesel. Two-step reaction, acid-catalyzed esterification followed by alkali-catalyzed transesterification, was performed. The high level of free fatty acids ( FFA) in the recycled canola oil was reduced to less than 1% by acidcatalyzed esterification with 40/1 molar ...
متن کاملThe Study of Biodiesel Characterization Obtained from CapparisSpinosa Oil Seed
Biodiesel is usually produced from food-grade vegetable oil using trans-esterification process. As an effective factor on the biodiesel characteristics of the biodiesel is the kind of feedstock which is used, so finding a proper feedstock for using initially has an important role for different places. So, in this research, disposal substances of Capparis Spinosa are used as a feedstock for prod...
متن کاملOptimization of Biodiesel Production by Chemical Trans-esterification of Sunflower Oil
Vegetable oils and fats in comparison with diesel fuel have high viscosity, by transesterification method the viscosity of oil can be decreased. Transesterification of triglyceride with alcohol is one of the methods for production of biodiesel. In this study sunflower oil, methanol and ethanol, with molar ratio of (1:3, 1:4, 1:6, 1:8) and temperature (40, 50, 60 º C) were dependent parameters e...
